I have a confession to make. In school last term I took a course called Geography and Agriculture (or something like that). So basically, I took Farming 101. Yes, I’m going to be a farmer.
That’s sarcasm – not the confession part.
Actually, that has very little to do with anything though. The world is a globalized place and the foods we eat are perhaps the best reflection of how globally linked a place is. That’s a good and a bad thing. For today though, it’s a bad thing, the lower nutrition and higher sugar and salt content fuck me up and make me slow and sluggish. ‘Diet’ versions are generally even worse. Low fat always means High sugar, and high sugar equals, indirectly, high fat. It’s pretty messed up really.
So after all this rambling, my confession turns into a challenge. To myself.
How long can I go without eating processed foods like cookies, crackers, and umm canned soup and whatever else I can’t think of now? One, Two, Three days? How long will I survive before I come crawling back to the Oreo throne? Actually I hate Oreo’s, and I’m pretty stubborn. Here’s one time I hope the trait actually comes in handy.
Get your bets in ladies and gentlemen.
(oh p.s. cereal doesn’t count if it’s like All-Bran or something, and bread doesn’t count if it’s reasonably healthy at least because EVERYTHING comes on bread seemingly. I’m such a pussy.)
Update Yeah, didn’t even last a day. I forget just how much of our world is pre-made. That’s of course not a bad thing, I wouldn’t look forward to a life of growing my own wheat, then harvesting it, milling it, and transforming it using that witchcraft known as baking to get bread.
Something else.. //

i give you 3 days… i think that’s alot too. then again i’m going on my third day of mushy/liquid carb diet.
